Microchipping
Microchip identified for life
Microchipping
'Flicka' a young black cat went missing from his home in congleton mid March. Having been previously severely injured and made 'good as new' by his vet, his owner feared the worst and after posting leaflets and signs to no avail, gave up all hope of seeing him again.
Saturday 21st May, a young, slightly nervous cat was brought to us from Bosley, having been spotted outside one of our clients houses for several days with no collar or identity tag.
On scanning for a Microchip, 'Bingo'!
He turned out to be Flicka!
After contacting his owners, who were naturally delighted and slightly shocked to hear the good news, Flicka was re-united with his owners!
A quick injection in a consultation or during anaesthesia will plant a small microchip about 1cm long between your animals shoulderblades.
Microchipped animals are identified for life and if lost are far more likely to be safely returned to you!
It is also a legal requirement should you wish to travel abroad with your dog, cat or ferret.
To make an appointment for a microchip, giving your pet the best chance of being re-united with you in the shortest possible time call Bond Street on 01625 425637
If you missed the National Microchipping Month (June) then done forget there is a 10% discount on microchipping when your pet has an anaesthetic e.g for neutering, dentals, xrays etc.
